Hello, and welcome to an ad we promise will be time well spent. First, allow us to introduce ourselves. So hi, we’re OogaLabs. Nice to meet to you. Love the shoes. Where are you from? Really? We have a cousin from there.

But enough small talk. Let’s get down to why we’re both here – we’re looking for brilliant engineers, and you, as luck would have it, just might be one. Now, when we say brilliant, we don’t necessarily mean you got a perfect score on your SATs (though we won’t complain if you did) or were the Jeopardy champion for 27 straight weeks (though if you were, we might question why you’re reading ads on LinkedIn instead of flying in private jets or purchasing tropical islands), but that you have a passion for finding that uniquely elegant solution. You love to build stuff. You feel personally invested in your work. You know your way around more than a few languages, and want to learn the ones you don’t. You’ve got a stack of offers for cushy corporate cube jobs littering your inbox, but can’t quite bring yourself to sign on the dotted line. You stay up late nights coding not because you’re getting paid to do so (don’t worry, we’ll pay you to do so) but for the sheer joy of coding.

Welcome back. Okay, now that we’ve talked about what kind of person we know in our heart of hearts you are, let’s talk about what kind of place we are. Our goal is simple: to create and build Internet companies loved by millions and millions of people. Companies that will do more good than evil, and maybe even make this planet of ours a slightly nicer place to spend some time. Sites that we can talk about like Goodtree.com and MedPedia.com, sites that have big red “top secret” stamps on them, and sites that are still residing on the back burner of that beautiful brain of yours.

Luckily, we have the means to actually make these companies. We’re entirely self-funded (our founders passed on tropical island ownership to spend their cash on starting OogaLabs), and so have complete control over all of our products. You’ll be mentored by people who have built successful companies in the past, and in addition to salary you’ll get equity in every product you develop.

We like exceptional engineering talent with a wide range of skills: Ruby, PHP, Python, front-end, design…
