more photos! Speakers Brad Neuberg, Developer Advocate, Google GearsBrad is a Developer Advocate for Google Gears. He is an internationally recognized software inventor, engineer, and open source consultant. Brad is a core member of the Dojo project, one of the world's most popular JavaScript frameworks. Brad has extensive experience in the open source community, contributing code to Mozilla, JXTA, Apache Jakarta, and more. His experience includes developing distributed systems on Wall Street, building electronic option exchanges, and working with Java for over ten years. He also focused on weblog aggregators and consumer web software. He has also explored next-generation collaborative systems, including new browsers, novel online word processors and Wikis, and new delivery mechanisms for digital books. Brad holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Columbia University. Raju Vegesna, Evangelist, ZohoRaju is an evangelist for Zoho and is one of the foremost thought leaders in the Office 2.0 revolution. Raju is one of the key people responsible for developing the strategic direction of the Zoho Suite. He is an avid blogger (see: blogs.zoho.com), and users of Zoho are encouraged to contact him directly. Prior to joining AdventNet, Raju co-founded an Internet services company serving the educational market. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science. Bill Scott, Director of UI Engineering, NetflixBill Scott recently joined Netflix, the world's largest online movie rental service, as the Director of UI Engineering. Previously, Bill led engineering for Yahoo! Teachers, a web 2.0 community allowing teachers to gather, organize & share web resources and lesson planning. In addition, as an Ajax Evangelist at Yahoo! he focused on spreading the goodness of "rich and sane" Ajax design & development. Bill is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops discussing the nuances of good design and the challenges of great engineering. At Yahoo! Bill was also the Design Pattern curator where he launched the public Yahoo! Design Pattern Library . John Rowell, Chief Technology Officer, OpSourceOver the past decade, Mr. Rowell has held senior management positions with leading hosting, telecommunications, and Internet services companies. He has extensive experience building, operating, and managing complex global IT infrastructure systems that are able to scale to meet dynamic business requirements. Prior to co-founding OpSource, Mr. Rowell led a team of over 500 people as Vice President of Operations for Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN). He was responsible for the delivery of managed services and the operation of the MFN data centers in the Americas, supporting leading enterprise customers including BP Amoco, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, Paramount, and Sony. He joined MFN through the acquisition of SiteSmith, where he was Vice President of Operations. Mr. Rowell holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama and attended the masters program for engineering management at George Washington University.
