There was a study done back in 2008 by Parks Associates that surveyed Americans on their website usage. The data revealed the following:

• Only 20% of Americans have ever sent an email. A recent 2019 study showed that 75.8% of the population use email.
• Half of the respondents who had claimed to never use email were older than 65% and about half had no formal education beyond high school.
• 20% of Americans have access to the internet. As of 2017 over 82% of Americans have access to the intenet according to a Statista study.
• 20% of participants stated that they had never looked up a website on the internet before
